Property Owners for Great Schools Albemarle
Picture

Act today to save our schools.

1. Call and write the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.

Tell them you are disappointed in their vote on March 17 to rule out an increase in the property tax rate, thus guaranteeing deep cuts in our schools budget.

Email them here: bos@albemarle.org

Or individually:

2. Attend the March 31 public hearing of the Albemarle County Board of Supervisors.

Express your support for great schools in person at the most important board meeting of the year. Protest the board's decision March 17 not to raise the property tax rate, thus triggering deep cuts in our school system budget.
  • When: 6 pm, March 31, 2010.
  • Where: Lane Auditorium, second floor, county office building, Charlottesville.

3. Let other property owners, parents, family members and neighbors know what is about to happen to our schools -- and ask them to get involved.

  • Send them the URL address for this Web site: www.albemarlegreatschools.org.
  • Invite them to join our group on Facebook.
  • Talk to them face-to-face about the crisis our schools face and bring them to the board of supervisors meeting on March 3.

4. Sign the iPetition.

Enter your name and email on the iPetition, "Fully Fund Albemarle County Public Schools," then share the links with friends.
